Grown in direct sun. it reaches an average height of 6 feet with 14-16 leaves per plant. In very rich soils it can develop up to 18 leaves per plant. Sun grown plants are often used as a binder or filler. Grown under a shade cloths, Habano 2000 makes an excellent wrapper.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHow to Grow Tobacco\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eGrowing your own tobacco is so easy and not dissimilar to growing tomatoes. Place commercial seedling compost into a tray and soak the soil with water and allow the excess water to drain off. Sprinkle the tobacco seeds onto the surface of the damp soil. Do not cover the seeds, as they need light for germination. Tobacco seeds are very tiny, so be careful to spread the seeds as evenly as possible.
