We collect these seeds from our 30+ year old Allspice tree growing in our Haiku, Maui garden. \u003cbr\u003e*******PLEASE NOTE THAT ALLSPICE (Pimenta dioica) is a very slow growing spice tree.****** This makes it very suitable for growing in a container or for smaller home gardens.  \u003cbr\u003eYour freshly collected and cleaned Allspice SEEDS will arrive wet packed.   We suggest germinating these seeds indoors in the baggie that they arrive in.  Keep 75-85 degrees at all times.  These are very easy to grow container suitable trees, but they are very slow growing.  Your seeds will appear to 'plump' up after about 2 weeks in the damp baggie that they arrive in.  After that point they will appear to do nothing, 'go dormant' even.  Plant in containers fo good potting soil and label and date the containers.  In about 4 to 6+ MONTHS you will have tiny Allspice seedling trees, about 1-2\" high.  Again, they are very slow growing so please be patient when growing from a seed. All parts of this delightful tree are edible, including the berries produced.  The berries can be dried and crushed or used whole in cooking recipes.
