It helps to water in a tray under the seed tray or flat this helps to keep the plants from drying out. Some people like to cover the tray to keep in humidity.   I do not because it can cause your little seedlings to rot off at the base.  I keep a fan going next to the seed trays to keep air moving slowly. Place it in a bright place (grow lights or window sill) that averages around 75 F. (24 C.)- I use a seed heat mat for best results. Keep the lights about 6 inches (15 cm.) above the tops of the plants. Use water-soluble fertilizer once every two weeks, and water the plants when the soil dries. Transplant the seedlings into individual pots once they develop two or three true leaves. Lift out individual plants with a wooden stick (pencil), and transplant them into potting soil.
